Tromma was composed for the Israeli duo PercaDu in 2002 who premiered it at their concert at the Reykjavik Arts Festival the same year. The Icelandic word Tromma means a drum, but it also means the action to drum.

Composed for marimbas and drums, the work is based on various rhythms from Hawaii, but also some specially composed ones which had dwelled with the composer for some time
